Today I...

...woke up a 7am. (what a drag)
...ate 5 bites of some honey bunches of oats before throwing it away bc I was running late. (bummer, considering it's my favorite)
...talked to brad on Skype. ;)
...got to listen to baby Sully laugh out loud. :)
...had a phone conversation with my dad, his waitress, and 2 co-workers while he was in the MIDDLE of his fantasy draft, man party, thing.
...took an hour nap! (for the first time in a very long time)
...got a birthday card and a hug from Tay Swift. which made me feel veery loved.
...drank a beer in the hall in Joe Jonas. (he came to the show. which, was kinda weird but, ok)
...it's been reallll good.

Back to NYC in 10 days!! Wohoo!

Ruled by the road...

Apparently, I have been living in a bubble for the past 6 months. Or wait, yeah... I kinda have. At least some like to refer to it as the "tour bubble," which, is a real thing folks. A crazy thing happened to me in May. The 25th of May (to be precise). I left New York, my home, Bradley P. and headed for Omaha, Nebraska 'somewhere in the middle of America' to begin what I might call one of the coolest and unique experiences of my life.... OK! OK! I gave up my life (temporarily) for T. Swift. No big.
Dream job people. For sure.
How do I describe it? Well, I couldn't begin to catch us up on the lost time. But I will say, in short, freakin difficult, same people everyday, like clockwork. Just kidding (kind of). It's been surreal. A real blessing, a fortune of pure happiness and fulfillment.
ANYWHo...we are mid way through this life on the road, I'm sitting in San Jose, California, and I'm turning 25 tomorrow! So....some burning desire in my heart has forced me to re-enter the blog zone. That, and the fact that Brad googled me today and my blog came up. I considered it a sign. We go through different things in our lives, sometimes exciting, sometimes dull and boring, sometimes sad, & sometimes really unbelievable things happen to us. My mom taught me the importance of keeping a diary. A record of my daily thoughts, a journal of life, in general. something I can share with my kids someday. Let me just say, this I will tell them alllll about.
Highlights of the past year: (It is OFFICIALLY my birthday!)
I. August 31, 2010 I turned 24 and little did I know, that was a highlight in itself! It has been the best yet.
II. September 2010 I go to NYc to work my first fashion week as a makeup artist/hairstylist.
III. September 9, 2010 turned out to be a pretty epic day. I went on my first date with Bradley, the looove of my life, for realz.
IIII. Went back to Los Angeles, to proceed with my so called "good life" and decided within a week, I AM MOVING TO NEW YORK!
IV. October 2010- I MOVED TO NEW YORK!!
V. November 2010 I landed my first NYC 'desk job'.... Well, not the best highlight but, I was really thanking the Lord for this one.
VI. Fast forward to 6 months filled with romantic, blissful, heart throbbing days in the city with my man and here I am...
VII. on tour with Taylor Swift, doing what I love.
It's been pretty rad. & I'm thanking my lucky stars, everyday.
xxL
P.s. I'm hoping to make a serious comeback. I'm also hoping my roman numerals are accurate because I didn't look a single one up. ;)
Happy 25.

fishy bubble thingys

so, the weekend was SUPERB. it was sunday, around 5:30 and i was preparing for my lengthy run around central park. (considering i am running a half marathon in less than 3 weeks, it was pretty much necessary. always dreaded but thankful in the long run- no pun intended). it was almost dark outside so i volunteered bradley to tag along with me. since he hadn't run in a while, he was hesitant but, took me up on the begging. so, here we are, sun setting, sunday evening ready for our 6 mile run to harlem and back. always a little anxious and nervous at the same time, i wasn't so sure how i would hold up. BUT thanks to my little running friend and some specialized and personalized encouragement along the way, we did it!! it was these little messages about every tenth of a mile that had been hand written in sidewalk chalk that read "BEcOMe YOuR DREaM" with little fishy bubble thingys. it was my driving force! really!

we should all not only follow our dream but, BECOME our dreams. it's important. make it happen. anything is possible. & i will preach it till i dieeeee. :) happy monday! happy march 1! happy birthday to my bestie Jenni Duggan! happy sleepytime & goodnight.

pink bulldog kinda life

sitting, pondering, taking this lazy saturday in, as i watch little brad take a kitty nap. we have been running errands today! made a yummy breakfast on the upper west side, had a couple (maybe 1 too many) cups o' joe, & came downtown to the CUTEST furniture shop I've ever seen in my life, nadeau. :) although we were unsuccessful there, we proceeded to enjoy a delicious pad thai lunch and now... lounge time at my tiny apartment. ahh, embrace the weekend folks! they are few and far between and go by wayyy too fast. happy saturday, and soon to be sunday!

me & nyc.

So, I will say... It's been FAR too long. Actually, I'm a little embarrassed at the amount of time it's been since I updated the invisible blog world, (whoever you may be out there) on my far too rambunctious life. Where to begin?!? There is too much to sum up in one night. Especially considering it's 1 am on a school night. But, here goes nothin...

Firstly, I moved. As mentioned months ago, NYC is officially my new home (has been for about 4 months now). I started a new job, within the same industry but WAYYY different. Some people like to call it one of those ''9 to 5er's''. Yeah. Big Change. But, a good one indeed! One that I needed and pleaded with Jesus for. :) Sooo, anywho. Lot's of change-

New job. New city. New LOVE life...my sweet Brad. New wardrobe...it's 50 degrees colder here than California 100% of the time. New snow boots...we have had more snow storms within the past 2 months than I have in my entire life, combined! New mentality...these New Yorkers are just NOT from Tennessee, that's for sure!! :) & a new outlook on life. A lot is different and I have had to adapt to many new things, really FAST. It's been a growing experience and a GOOD one at that. I am running a half marathon in a month and leaving for my first official ''business trip'' in the morning... Bentonville, Arkansas to Wal-Mart Corporate. YEAHHH. Excited, nervous & well, needing to get some rest. LOVE TO ALL.

p.s. giving a shout out to my BIG SISTER!! For starting a new blog for my baby nephew, Sully, who will be arriving in 16 days! She inspired me to hop back on this blog train and keep truckin. Afterall, I am extremely thankful for this cyber generation! Why not take advantage. I'm rambling now... gnight.
